In the wake of a Hollywood brawl that landed him all over the internet, Jamie Foxx got some good news Monday; Showtime announced it’s producing “White Famous,” based on Foxx’s experiences in show business.

The series will be written by Tom Kapinos, following his seven-season run on the David Duchovny-starring “Californication,” Variety reports.

Jay Pharoah will star as the main character, who, as his star is rising, must figure out how to maintain his credibility as he crosses over toward becoming “white famous.”

Meanwhile, Foxx, who will appear in a recurring role on “White Famous,” got into a scuffle Saturday at the West Hollywood restaurant Catch, allegedly attacked by a patron who thought his party was too loud.

TMZ reported that a witness saw someone lunge at the actor and pin him down, before Foxx freed himself and put the attacker in a choke hold.

The altercation apparently began, according to TMZ, when a man yelled at Foxx’s party: “You don’t want to mess with me. I’m from New York,” and a comedian at Foxx’s table responded, “F— you, I’m from Oakland!”

Both parties were asked to leave, but not before celebrities including Jerry Bruckheimer, Cuba Gooding Jr., Michael Bay and Nicole Murphy witnessed the situation.

Last week, Foxx shared thoughts about his abilities on the defense front at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie “Sleepless.” On the red carpet, he said he’s the papa bear when it comes to daughters Annalise, 7, and Corinne, 22, People reports.

The reason for his protective instincts: “I know there’s guys out there. I used to be on the other side,” he said.
